Teacher Swap Meet
Friday, February 17, 2012, 12:30 - 14:45

From The Professional Development Committee

 Dear colleagues:

Our Committee is mandated by the ETEA to foster Professional Development and collegiality at our workplace. On Friday October 21, 2011 we had our first teacher – led Teacher Swap Meet, a workshop organized and facilitated by ILSC teachers themselves, which was a great success! The three sessions on Classroom Management, Classroom Activities, and Sharing Resources proved to be useful and popular and there were many requests to repeat them. Since then, the Committee has continued to brainstorm for new ideas for teacher-run workshops. The teachers are now bringing their ideas, tips for teaching various skills and classes, and issues which they would like to share with their colleagues on a regular basis. We hope to be able to have regular teacher conferences at ILSC, run by ourselves, every two months. The next
